Miss Anderson's studios consist of young professionals in her private studio and students presently at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
In the Season 2016-2017 the Conservatory students are:
Alexandra Mena, Mezzo-soprano from Fremont, CA - 2nd year Grad Student
performed in Conservatory operas and opera scenes, and in West Bay Opera's production of "Rigoletto." She will perform Charlotte in the III Act of "Werther" in December.
Ellen Leslie, spinto soprano, Post Grad, from Denver, Colorado and
California, recently won the Metropolitan Opera Council District auditions and will sing again in Los Angeles in November. Ellen returned from Germany having spent the spring semester as a guest artist at the Leipzig Conservatory in Germany. She also performed her first Pamina in "Die Zauberflöte" in Germany, and will sing the title role in the San Francisco Lamplighters production of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Patience."
Isabel Block, soprano from Novato, CA - 2nd year Grad Student
Will sing the role of "Flora" in the Conservatory production of "The Turn of the
Screw" in December 2016.
Zanxi Yang, soprano from Beijing, China, 1st year Grad Student
Alexandra Tiller, dramatic soprano, 1st year Grad Student
Gabrielle Haigh, soprano from Cambridge, England, 1st year Grad student
Bethany Goldson, soprano from 1st year Grad student
Will sing the Mother in the Conservatory Production of
Ahra Cho, soprano from Korea, 1st year Graduate student
Madison Roesler, Sophomore from Los Angeles, CA
Erykka Simone, mezzo- soprano, Junior, sang the "Alto Rhapsody" of Brahms in a performance with the Concert Choir of the Conservatory, as well as a role in " Le Tragedie de Carmen" in the Conservatory production of the same. In the Spring she also sang her Junior Recital in the Sol Josef Recital Hall including the entire
"Nuit d'étés" of Berlioz.
Ashlyn Herd, Junior, from Denver, Colorado, has performed in the chorus in all the opera productions since coming to the Conservatory. She also sang the role of Harry in "Albert Herring" in the spring opera production of the opera department with the Conservatory orchestra, and will sing Miles in the
fall production of "The Turn of the Screw."
James Hogan, Senior, tenor from Colorado, performed a role in "Il coronation di Poppea" with the Conservatory Baroque Ensemble in 2015 as well as a role with the professional opera company, Ars Minerva, in the San Francisco Bay Area production of "La Cleopatra." He recently performed the title role in Von Weber's "Abu Hassam" in Davis, CA. This year he will the role of Polinesso in the spring opera production of Händel's "Atalanta."
